2 of the Gavin's of Beulaville

Today was Gavin Kennedy's birthday party or as my Gavin calls him, "the other me", referring to hisself! He had a cowboy themed party at the church, a big blow up slide, they found snakes and put them in boots and of course cake!
When you put these two Gavin's together it gets crazy and wild. I feel sorry for their Kindergarden teachers because there are 5 Gavin's all starting school at the same time.

Spring Soccer not so much!

We signed Gavin up for Spring soccer, practice every Wednesday at 5:30 and games every Saturday morning for the next 6 weeks.
Well we've had a very cold start to our spring. It's been no fun for any of us...I think Gavin's picture says it all.

Can we bring it home?

Some friends of ours from church have several chicken houses. Well earlier in the week the got a fresh shipment of over 1,000 baby chicks.
After church on Sunday it was a must to go and see all thousand of these baby chicks. Who honesty in their life can say, I saw a thousand baby chicks today...that happens only in Duplin county baby!!
Luckily our nephew Jack came over to play with Gavin on this fun filled afternoon and we where able to broaden his views in life!! Your welcome...anything we can do to add a little redneck!
Of course my child ask can we bring it home?!? I'll give you one guess as to what my answer was....

Finally some SNOW...

It has been about 2 years since we have seen snow. Finally about the middle of February we got some. Of course about the same time we get our new hunting dog puppies...that we have to go outside and feed, let out to play, clean out poop and give them some love twice a day. Its all good though, Gavin loves every second, well as long as we turn on the heater. They are already so spoiled, Jeremy says the only thing they will chase when they get older is a biscuit!! LOL. He is probably right, I am such a dog lover, but who can resist a cute puppy face or faces in our case!!!

Valentine's Day Party

Gavin is the cutest Valentine a mom could ask for. He had his party at school and had an entire box full of Valentines from all his friends and girlfriends, which he tells me he has many of....

Duke makes a baby cry....

One of our very good friends had their little boy a few weeks ago and Gavin has been very interested.
He keeps asking is Mrs Cori's belly still big, is Braxton here now!!
And he is here...all 9lbs 11oz of him. He is so precious with his head full of hair.
We had them over to our house for the Super Bowl and Gavin asked if he could hold Braxton. I was a little nervous about this...but Mrs Cori said sure and had Gavin sit back in a chair and handed him over.
Gavin was over the moon excited about this, Braxton not so much!
I told Gavin that Braxton was only crying because he had a Duke bib on!!!

Monster trucks vs Ice Storm

We put on our best jeans, slid on our cowboy boots, and grabbed chains for the tires.
Thats right, we bought tickets to the Monster Truck show in Fayetteville about 2 weeks before. It had been 60 degrees outside the entire week before, who would've thunk we were going to have an ice storm, the day of the show.
We made it, we rocked it out and had an amazing time!!
