We took a family trip and went to Lake Murray in South Carolina to visit my dad on his sailboat. It was a fun filled trip, full of activities. When we first arrived they had all the children at the yacht club painting and building their own little sailboats to race. So Gavin joined right in, painting not only the boat pieces but his self. And once his boat dried we put it in the water and let it go. It didn't make it very far but it was so cute to see him clap and cheer his boat on.
After all that excitment Gavin wanted to go and play in the sand and water. He just ran right into the water with no hesitation. I believe that was due to the swim lessons we took last year, he is not afraid of the water at all. But it was a little chilly and only wanted to sit on top of the board in the water. Well playing in the water didn't last but maybe 10 minutes and then all he wanted to do was sit in the sand and put it all over him.
And finally Gavin starting saying "ride, ride", because he kept seeing several boats leaving the dock. So we got all the sand washed off him and loaded the boat. Also my dad was prepared for Gavin wanting to ride the boat so he bought him a shark life vest, just in case you are wondering what in the world is that blue thing around him. And he absolutely loved it, he thought is was the coolest thing, he would stick his arms right through those arm holes and kept it on with no problems the entire time. All he wanted to do was drive the boat, so that is what he did.
