Busch Garden's

After our beach trip we came home, washed some clothes and packed again for Busch Garden's.

This trip we were going with SIL,BIL, niece and nephew, "The Mozingo Family"!

We picked Logan(niece) up from school, she had no idea we were going.  We all held signs as she came down the hall way that said "We Are Going To Busch Gardens".  Well Baby Jack had the Busch Garden sign and it was upside down, but when she turned her head and read what it said she was very excited.

We all loaded up and off we went!

Beachin it with Good News

Jeremy got great news the other week!  He got a job back at the City of Kinston Fire Department!

This is very exciting news for us because he has been driving back and forth to Greensboro every third day for over a year!

We celebrated the news with a week long trip to Holden Beach.

A HUGE THANK YOU to my Aunt Betty and Uncle Al for letting us use their beach house for that week.

We had a blast and Gavin loved every minute of it!

Easter 2011

We have had so many Easter celebrations this year. They all have been really fun but the most special day was Easter at our house.

We had lots of family over, had a huge egg hunt and plenty to eat!

Gavin's Goldfish

Gavin for a week now has been asking for some fish, well let me re-phrase that, 3 fish!

So we told him that if he was a good boy at daycare all week we would go get him 3 fish.

This afternoon we took a trip to PetSmart and picked them out.

This was quite an ordeal, the fish lady would not let us pick out any cool fish!  She informed us that we needed to have had our tank for 3 days, so that the water could be acclimated.  WHATEVER!

LADY MY KID WANTS 3 FISH TODAY!!  She obviously does not have children!

Well the end of the story goes.... We left with only 2 goldfish and Gavin's Gi-Gi had to go to Wal-Mart and get him another fish.

I am hate confrontation, so I just got the 2 fish and we left.

She also informed me that she could not guarantee my goldfish.  They cost me .13 cents each so that is a grand total of .26 cents for both fish.  I know, I know, I am a big spender!

But Gavin is very happy, NOW that he has his 3 fish!

My Carrot Patches

We are having everyone from Jeremy's side of the family come to our house for Easter.

So I thought I would be a little creative and try to make this carrot patches that I found in some magazine.

I think they turned out really cute!  And they weren't that hard to make, just very tedious!

I put the bunny in the middle so it looked like he has watching over his carrot garden.

Whatcha think?!?

Easter Celebration at Church

This morning we went to an Easter Celebration at church!

It was very organized, they had different activities set up around the church.  Each age group went to one area and when the group finished they went to the next station.

The first station was a story telling area, the teacher made the kids sit down and everyone got an egg.  Each egg had something relating to the story of God.  After she told the story about how He died and He rose out of the tomb, she explained that He was still alive in our hearts.  Well Gavin stood up and raised his hands and yelled "He's Alive, Momma, He's Alive!"  It was very sweet and the teacher was so happy about how excited Gavin was about the story.

The second station we painted flower pots!  Gavin picked out many colors to paint his pot with!

The third station was outside, they had a three-legged race, an egg race and tug of war!

And last but not least was the egg hunt!  Each kid had 10 eggs with their name on it and they had to find their name only.  That took us a while, there was only about 30 kids which is 300 eggs everywhere!

Egg Coloring Time

Friday afternoon we went over to The Raynor's house and colored some eggs, 18 to be exact!

It held their attention for about 10 minutes, they enjoyed dipping the eggs into the colors and mixing up the colors, but Cori and I were left to finish decorating the eggs.

I think we had more fun than they did!
