Today is the first day that I have been alone with Gavin since his BIG BOO-BOO. Last night I told Jeremy to make sure in the morning before he left for his 24 hour shift at work to double check his wrap in the morning and make sure it's secure. Well about an hour after Jeremy left, what happens? His wrap comes completely off, I believe this was not only due to his running around but our dog grabbing it, like it's a toy. But Gavin does not help with the dog situation, when he swings it in her face and uses it as a club to hit her upside the head. She doesn't like it so much.
Well the first thing I do, call Jeremy, and did he answered the phone very quickly, oh yea! Anyway he recommended calling the doctor and if they could not see us within the hour to drive to Greensboro and let him put it back on. His wrapped hand is no joke, it takes at least two people to do it and three if he is awake. One to hold his legs and other arm, one to hold is bad hand, separate his fingers, and the third person to put the wrap on. Well Dr. Sisco, who did the surgery was at the hospital when we got the doctors office, so the other doctor saw him. He simply recommended that we put a band aide on it, yes that's right I said a band aide. He's the doctor and he know whats best, so we put a band aide on it and went home. And the worst part about going to the doctors office is they keep referring to Gavin as the "amputee". Everytime I hear that word tears come to my eyes and I just hold Gavin closer and tighter.
Yes we are outside, which is a big no, no per the doctors request. But you simply can not keep an almost 2 year little boy from outside, it's not happening. That is what I hear all day, outside, outside and he just stands by the door, looking outside. Also thanks Carrie for letting me know where you got the splash mat. We have not been able to try it out with water but Gavin enjoys it blown up, so I know when he's able to get in the water he will love it.

I'm so glad he loves it! I agree-- no 2 year old is content with playing indoors all day everyday. Its just not happening!
He is so cute and he looks sweeter and sweeter in every picture!
