Cannon Ball.....

As soon as the warm weather comes out, Gavin starts asking...Can we get the water slide out and play?
He absolutely loves his blow up water slide.  This is the third summer he has been able to play on it and each year he gets braver and braver.
At first the big thing was simply going down the slide and now he jumps up really high and yells "cannon ball"!!!  He is such a little dare devil and has no fear.

3 Generations of Pearson

Ronnie, Jeremy's dad and Gavin's PaPa has a little get together for his birthday!  We love getting together with family and sharing good times and laughs.
The best part is seeing these 3 men get together...the best par about this picture is Jeremy's stash!!
He certainly was a head turner;)

Not such a good idea...

Logan, Gavin's cousin, had her piano recital Sunday afternoon.  I figured that since Gavin always did so well at her dance recitals he would be fine at this.
Yea, not so much!!! Epic fail on my part...
First off it was at a church, this place barely held 30 people, seriously, there were that many kids just in the recital.  Secondly I sat were I could not get out without disturbing a lot of people.  Third, I brought toys to occupy him, I thought this was a fabulous idea myself, again not so much!  There was to be no talking, no picture taking, no filming, no getting up, no picking your nose, no nothing...well that doesn't go over to well with a 5 year old boy, who doesn't stop talking, doesn't know how to whisper and doesn't get still.
Completely and totally and epic fail, we will never attempt a piano recital again until he is like 25ish and that's a maybe then too!!!
But we got some great family pictures, everyone with smiles!!

Cruising the town...(backyard)

Gavin's absolute new favorite song is "Cruise" by Florida Georgia line...it is a pretty awesome song, especially the remix with Nelly, which of course is the version he request.
One afternoon over at Jack's, they hoped in the Mini Cooper and went "cruising" with the windows rolled down, sang a little Florida Georgia line/ Nelly remix and threw up some gang signs, well really it was just a peace sign...just trying to sound and be tuff!!
All ready cruising the streets together, jamming it out loud and looking for the ladies!!

Dance Recital time...

Gavin has been going to Logan's dance recitals since he was 1 year old.  He is completely indulged in every dance, even if Logan isn't in it.  But when she is, he goes wild, he screams out her name and tells her good job.  It's so funny to hear him call out her name and cheer for her.
She of course did an amazing job this year as always.  She is so talented and beautiful up in stage!!

Here we go again...

Gavin and his little girlfriends...it's a battle I tell you!!  This picture has got to be one of the best, showing him holding Lillana's hand and having anther little girl get a little jealous.  These two are going to be on again off again, even when they get older...such a little heart breaker we have!!

He has all caps...I would hope so!!

Gavin had his 6 month check up at the dentist and everything was 2 thumbs up. He had a great visit, with no cavities at all...made me so happy for Gavin!!
Just to state a quick fact, he does have silver caps on just about every tooth in his head, so I would hope not Mr. dentist!!!!

Happy Birthday GiGi

Gavin and his GiGi have a very special relationship...well actually he just has her completely wrapped.  She will do anything and everything for him, take him anywhere and buy anything his little heart desires.  She has spoiled him rotten...beyond turning back!!
One of their favorite things to do in the warmer weather is go to the park, swing, train rain and slides.  It doesn't matter if its her birthday or not as long as GiGi is with Gavin she is happy!!

Boy's Best Friend!

Gavin loves Freckles so much...they have been best friends even before he was born.  She laid on my belly when I was pregnant with him.  When we brought him home from the hospital she climb up in his car seat and laid with him.
He calls her "baby girl"most of the time, that's a little nickname she picked up after her surgery a couple of years ago. But she runs to him when he walks in the back door from daycare and gets her loving from him.  It's the sweetest thing to see Gavin be so gentle and caring with her and for her.  Fills up my heart with pure joy!!

Strawberry Train ride

Gavin's daycare had a field trip to The Strawberry Patch in Pink Hill.  Luckily, Jeremy and I could both go, which makes me the happiest that we can both enjoy these special times with Gavin.
The best part of this field trip was the strawberry train ride.  Jeremy throughly enjoyed it more so than the kids.  He climbed right in a barrel, well squeezed in and off they went.  I am so blessed to have a husband and father to Gavin that loves to have fun with him.

McDonalds fries never hurt anyone...

Gavin and I met GiGi for lunch out at a little spot in Kinston.  They are known for their beautiful little pond...and of course the fish, ducks and geese.  They also have a sign up that says don't feed the animals unless you have gotten food from inside the sports shop.
Gavin decided we wanted to share his Happy Meal....I mean a little bit of McDonalds fries never hurt anyone or anything!!!

Strawberry lips...

Today was the Famous Strawberry Festival in Wallace.  We packed up and headed downtown to check out what all the hype and talk was about.
Well as to be expected, there was lots of strawberries.  They had strawberry rides, strawberry shakes, strawberry slushes, strawberry jam, strawberry ice cream, strawberry lemonade and even just plain ole strawberries!
It got hot walking around on the black asphalt quick, so of course Gavin had to try out a strawberry slushy...OMG, it was so good!  He ate every bit of it and had proof that he was at the Strawberry Festival with his strawberry lips.

Ironman vs. Bumblebee

Live and in the center ring we have the one and only daddy Bumblebee aka Jeremy vs Ironman himself aka Gavin.  This is going to be a tough and fierce competition...I am personally a little nervous for everyone's safety!
But in the end ironman pulled out the big W....and Bumblebee has already challenged a rematch!!!!

Mother's Day

Gavin made me a card at day care today and it was straight from his little heart.
It was his hand print that was made into a flower, then they cut out a pot and wrote, why I love my mommy!
Well Gavin wrote on his own, which had to be translated later, why he loves me....
"She takes me to Chuckie Cheese!"
I absolutely love it and know this was all him.  I do love my little man some kinda good!!

To the moon and back 100 times...

Happy Mother's Day!!

Gavin and I met GiGi in Kinston at Olivia's for lunch.  Of course that is after we got locked out of the house.  I swear I struggle so much, my mind has been in such a tissy.  Trying to be on time, making sure I had her present, making sure I was matching and grabbing my pocket book.  I always forget or leave something...this is all from having a 5 year old little boy named Gavin.
But I wouldn't have it any other way, I  love him to the moon and back 100 times!!

Tie Dying Adventure

Gavin had one of his little buddy's, Bryson spend the night with us Friday night.  And me being the cool mom that I am, wanted to make it fun for the boys.  So I thought tie dying shirts would be a blast.
Well it was a whole lot more fun for me than them, that's for sure.  And come on, we are talking about boys!  It was a lot of prep and waiting more so than anything.  Of course squirting the bottles of color on the shirts, deciding what design they wanted and of course unwrapping them was the absolute best part.
But twisting the shirts, placing rubber bands, wrapping them up and waiting 8 hours to unwrap them...yea not so fun for 5 year old boys that can't sit still!!
It was all good though, we entertained them fully with a soccer game, followed by kick ball then pizza!!!
The shirts in the end were a huge hit and the boys were so excited with their "electric ball" as they called them.

He knows it...

It's the last game of the season and our team has grown and learned so much.  Each game we got better and better, everyone could see the changes in their little player.  Especially me with Gavin, he has learned to play hard, run fast and not get out.
He is tuff stuff and he knows it!!

Ironman's secret lab...

Gavin loves Lego's...he has several Lego kits, a Lego table, and even gets the Lego magazine in the mail!
In the last Lego magazine that we got, they were having a contest on who could build the most top secret Ironman's lab.  Gavin was up for the challenge, so upstairs to his Lego table we went. And an hour later, this was the final product.  He has such a creative and top secret imagination!!

Selfie of sweetness!

My little man is pure sweetness...he is absolutely the sweetest and most caring child ever.  He always says "mommy you ok, just checking" then randomly and totally out of the blue when you need to hear it the most, those 3 little words that swell your heart, "I LOVE YOU"!!

Daddies that are Firemen...

Gavin and Jack both have daddies that our firemen.  It's in their blood, I guess, at least that's what everyone keeps telling me.  My guess is its just a boy thing, cause I have much bigger plans for Gavin, momma's gotta be taken care of when she gets older. LOL
But this is just about the only fire toy we have at our house, a huge blow up fire house!!  Gavin absolutely loves it, Santa brought it this past Christmas and it usually stays out in his room so all he has to do is flip the switch and up it goes.  Since Jack was over and the weather was fabulous we took it outside and them play all afternoon in it.  They had a blast, the pretend play and their little creative minds is so impressive and so fun to just sit back, watch and listen.
I do love these two and their firemen daddies!!

It's all about the belt...

So my handsome little man is just that! He has his blue seersucker pants on, white knit Polo shirt and Sperry boat shoes, but oh no, that's not all....
It's all about the belt, Spiderman buckle belt!! That completes the outfit to its entirety and he is ready to roll out!!
