Second helping...

It's been 2 weeks since we got that good snow/ice and a week out of school.  I had about all the snow I wanted until I knew it was coming again and this time much more.
Snow was the last thing I needed...being 9 months pregnant, I needed to work and get my last month in and done with no more delimas.
But when it started to snow, all my worries and bad thoughts went away.  We had huge snowflakes, that fell quickly and all day long so we could enjoy watching it fall.  The kind of snow you dance outside in and stick your tongue out to catch them as they fall.  The afternoon came quick and so did all the inches on snow on the ground....6.5 inches to be exact!

33 vs. 37 weeks

Cookies...

For just about every event I have or that I am involved in I always gets cookies made by Katherine's mom.  She absolutely, hands down makes the cutest and yummiest cookies ever...and they are cheap!!
Baby Reese's shower is Saturday and of course I had her make some as favors for our baby shower guest.  Gavin and I went and picked them up Friday afternoon so they would be soft, fresh and yummy!

Never Again...

So in attempt to complete the little/big details of Baby Resse's room, I ordered her a tree wall decal with these pretty birds and leaves all around it.  Yes, I looked and saw it measured 70x68 but I didn't really think that was going to be that bad.  Well when it came it, I was singing a different tune.  This tree was huge...and I was anxious to get it up.  So of course I tested out a little birdie, easy peasy...I got this!!  Well 2.5 hours later I was yelling for Jeremy to come up stairs to help me straighten up it, a little!  In my defense I am 8 months pregnant!!  But it's up and adds just enough of that little girl feeling I wanted in her room.

The next morning....

The night before we got a lite dusting of snow, nothing to blink an eye at...and the closed up school.  But the next morning, we got about 4 inches.  The anticipated snow fall amount for Beulaville was about 2 inches and then freezing rain.  Well we got a little bit more and lots of ice.  This is completely unusually for our area.  So needless to say Gavin didn't go to all week...literally 5 days shut down!
But we made the best of it!  We packed up in Jeremy's truck and went to Mr. Patrick's and Mrs. Cori's, they had the car hood already hooked up to the 4 wheeler ready to go.  Mr. Matthew came to play too, he's a big kid at heart!

Snow/ice =no school

No matter how little or how much snow Duplin county gets, the town literally shuts down, no school, no milk, no bread and no gas!  It's crazy and Gavin goes crazy too.  He absolutely loves the snow, well for about 5 mintues then he is ready to go back inside where it is warm.
This so called snow as you can see was more or less a dusting with some icicles. We went outside, patted the snow and grabbed an icicle...that was enough for me and him!

Happy Birthday Baby/Little Jack

We've always called our nephew baby Jack, even before he was born.  But now it is time to retire that name and upgrade him.  He is is now 4 years old and just as big as Gavin who is 6...so now we shall call him Little Jack!
He had the coolest birthday party, with several Pinterest/Martha Stewart inspired ideas.  It was Cowboy themed with horses, that were cut, painted and decorated beautifully, digging for gold, snake in boots and the best Kodiak moment "wanted" frames so everyone could remember this amazing party.  But I don't know how you could forget it!
Happy 4th Birthday Little Jack!

33 weeks...Pineapple

So it turns out baby Reese is the size of a pineapple at 33 weeks...this is my absolute most favorite fruit. I am finally starting to enjoy pregnancy more, I am not sick anymore with the flu nor am I neusea!  I am feeling really great actually, not at the miserable stages yet, but my RLS is really starting to flare at night.  This is a trait that has been passed down on my side of the family and I do hope that she does not get it.

Finally...rPg

We have finally decided on a name for our baby girl that will be here in March.  It was a lot of back and forth and we had two names before you were even thought of and have use neither one of them.
Option one: Willow and Option Two: Olivia
Like I said this was not as easy task, daddy was being very peculauliar about your name.  I then had this idea to let's keep the G's going with her name.  So then Gentry was the name for a few weeks, but Jeremy would never say final.  He said it was too boyish for a girls first name, but I was in love with it!
Finally riding down the road and us having one of our serious talks about life, out of blue came Reese.  And that was it, Reese Gentry Pearson!  I think because Jeremy's favorite nighttime snack before bed is a Reese's cup and he was actually craving one at the time...but that was it, we finalized it then and there.
And the fun began!!

Momma's Christmas Present

Now that we have added a back patio area with comfy seats, it needed one final thing to complete it...a fire pit!  I found one that I feel in love with and requested it as my Christmas present.  It funny how presents change as you get older in life.  I use to always want clothes, gift cards, jewerly, now I just want things for our house.
But with that being said, Gavin too wanted this gorgeous fire pit.  Not for the complete look on the back patio or even to keep his little hands toasty.  He wanted it and had to complete with marshmallows and scures so he could make s'mores whenever he wanted! I love my little mans quirks...because s'mores just happen to be one of my favorite as well!

School Buddies

Gavin and Bryson are two peas in a pod. They are inceprable at school and are always wanting each other to come over their houses.
We had a Christmas show at school one night, all the Kindergarten classes up through 3rd grade put on a little performance for all the moms, dads and grandparents.  I had sent Gavin backstage to get ready and when they come out, I wouldn't have expected it any different.  Look at the smiles on both faces...just precious!

Bad 30!!!

I am 30 weeks pregnant, getting ready to turn 30 years old in 3 days, it's Christmas Day and I have the FLU.  I have never had the flu nor have I ever gotten the flu shot.  My baby doctor tried his best to get me to take it, gave me all the stats of how 25% of prego women died last year from the flu.  But I still said no...I'm hard headed, Gavin gets it honest!!
But I included my 24 week vs 30 week picture just to show how much I have grown!

Round 2!!!!

Gavin is so blessed to have a GiGi that spoils him endlessly.  She is always loving him, taking him to movies and best of all jumping on the trampoline with him....that is his most favorite time of all.
After all the Christmas presents from Santa and from Jeremy and I, GiGi brings her stash over for round number 2 of opening presented.   Like I said we are all beyond blessed to have her in our lives.  But she has several presents for Gavin that are a momma favorite kind but not so much his!  And when he gets to those he opens them quickly and passes them over to Jeremy or I so we can fully see them and is on the next one.  But he quickly learned which presents were clothes and which ones were toys.  GiGi also got smart and mixed up them, putting toys in with the clothes.  It was quite funny to see his face after the first one mixed up.
