Opening Day and #3

Today, Saturday, April 2nd at 9am was Opening Day and Gavin's very 1st T-Ball game.

It was so cool to see Gavin get his name called out and run on the field in front of almost the entire town of Beulaville.

Of course everyone "AWWWed" at the sight of Gavin and how little he was.

He was mighty handsome in his little uniform.

He was so excited he told everyone "I'm number 3" as he tried to turn around and look his #3, literally turning around in circles.

Black and Yellow

Friday night we decided to make some cupcakes with GiGi for Opening Day of T-Ball.

We made cupcakes that looked like baseballs, how creative!  I know we are talented!

Gavin loves to help mix the batter and especially crack the eggs, only my child, but he gets it from his father.

And the fun begins...

We signed Gavin up for T-Ball this year.

He is a little young to be playing but we figured the sooner the better.

Jeremy and I are/were great athletes when when played, so we just know that it is in Gavin's blood!

We had his first practice Thursday afternoon!

I can't wait for the games to begin, it's going to be interesting.

Gavin's the smallest one!

Running bases, 1st base was Mrs. Cori!

Checking out this glove thing!

Yes, the helmet is a little big!

Like Father, Like Son

Yesterday Jeremy got in the yard and did some much needed yard maintenance.

As soon as he cut the lawnmower on Gavin ran as fast as he could and got on his. The entire time Jeremy cut grass, Gavin was right behind him on his John Deere!

DO NOT TRY AT HOME....

This is the biggest warning I can give anybody that wants to buy their child a swing set, "PAY SOMEONE TO PUT IT TOGETHER FOR YOU!!!"  It is well worth it!

Luckily I have a "FABULOUS" Father in Law and Brother in Law that came over and helped us put this bad boy together.  My mom kept Gavin and occupied him so we could get it done, otherwise he would have rearranged everything.

It took 2 full days to complete the task at hand.  There was 4 large boxes, all the pieces had to be separated and accounted for.  At least 400 pieces of wood and over 1,000 nuts and bolts.

Baby Jack helping pick out the pieces!

This part only took us 6 tries to get it right!

1,000 nuts and bolts, don't try to count, just take my word on it!

Me, Commander in Chief trying to read off instructions!

Rock wall time!

He made it, I was a little nervous!

Almost done!

Finally Complete!

End Result!
One Happy Little Boy!
And that is all that matters!

Skating in the Streets

So not really skating in the streets, I just thought it sounded good!  More like skating in the driveway.

Jeremy use to speed skate with his sister when they were kids.  If I can find that picture of them two I will certainly post it, that will be a great laugh!

We want Gavin to experience all of the same activities we loved when we were kids!

Here are some pictures of Jeremy trying to help Gavin skate!

Snow Snow and More Snow

I thought when we moved back home that we would never see snow again.  I was so wrong, it has snowed more here in Beulaville than it ever did living in Asheboro.
I am so excited, I love the snow!  But several of our friends and neighbors told us we brought this snowy weather with us when we moved.  I hope so is all I can say!
