Gavin's Finger (Warning)

Warning I have pictures of Gavin's finger with no bandage on it.
We went to the doctor Monday for Gavin's check up on his finger. Everything went good, the doctor released him back to day school with some rules:
#1 - No bandage
#2 - No Dirt/Sand
#3 - No soap
#4 - No scrubbing
#5 - No finger painting
As you can see pretty much everything that day school would do with toddlers. But he has done very good these last couple of days. The only concern is he wants to pick at his finger because of the scab and he does not want to bend that finger. So hopefully with the bandage off he will start using it again. Also the best news we got was he can get it wet, no more press and seal or zip lock bags for bath time and pool. YEA! But my main concern was the whole no more bandage, I have not really looked at his finger. It seriously still makes me sick to my stomach to know that this has happen to my little boy. As his mother I must overcome this and come to reality that this is what it is. I believe that it will not be as bad when the scab falls off and the swelling goes down. Again here are the pictures of his finger!

I am so glad he got a good report. I will be praying that his finger continues to heal well. He is still the cutest little boy I have ever seen. He is adorable!!!

I agree with Diana... He went through a very traumatic experience and I think it looks great. It always could be so much worse. He is sooooo stinkin' cute!

Gavin is the cutest little turkey nugget that I have ever seen! I think you should send his picture in to be a Baby Gap model. He is beautiful!
He's finger is not bad at all! I thought it was going to be much worse! I think it looks great! Stop worrying, Mama! He is perfect!

Aww girl nobody is going to look at that finger because he is the cutest little boy I ever have seen! But, I agree considering what happened I think it is healing very nicely. We will continue to pray for him :) I can't imagine how you feel,(your mom said it has been really hard on you) but don't for a second blame this on yourself! I know you are a fantastic mom. And God only knows, but everything happens for a reason (even if it's shitty - please excuse the language)! You will make it past this I promise. Just stay strong. Time heals everything. Love Ya :)
